Soccer-related severe blunt splenic injury in a young goalkeeper

We present a case of a grade IV splenic laceration in a 10-year-old soccer goalkeeper caused by the blunt abdominal trauma sustained during the gameplay.The trauma was successfully treated with a nonoperative management approach.
